2010 Pies best Pies since 90

Collingwood are looking at possibly their best team since that 1990 side that captured the premiership, people are going to throw up that team that lost 2 Grand Finals, but I am going to say that team was good but was not great. No folks, Collingwood's team now has very little weakness to it, the main weakness I have found has been their kicking.
Friday Night it started well, but then the yips came back and then the Magpies ended up with an inaccurate scoreline. I have seen people bag Travis Cloke, he is a good mark, once he works out how to kick straight he'll come close to being a 50 plus goal forward.
The revelation of some of these young players at Collngwood has been amazing, and the revitalisation of Leigh Brown as well shows that Collingwood has been doing a lot of good work there. Bringing in Luke Ball, and Darren Jolly has also managed to bring in more riches to the Collingwood Football Club.
It has effectively seen Josh Fraser stuck in the VFL, where he seems to not to be able to find a way back into this side, Leigh Brown's coming of age at Collingwood has seen that Collingwood has a ruckman, and a backup and Fraser well he and Wood may have to look elsewhere.
Dane Swan is on track to win the Brownlow he may find the going tough at the club with players stealing votes from him, he has taken over most media awards, which seems to suggest there is something brewing.
Sharrod Wellingham has started to come of age as well for the Magpies, a player that cost the Pies their TAC sponsorship, even though it should have been taken from them when Cameron Cloke was speeding but that's not a big deal now. The Magpies have an embarrassment of riches at the club.
But can this side win the flag? They have beaten both the Saints and Cats in their return matches, and still have the finals to come. People keep talking about the Pies' failures over the journey, but what has that got to do with this team?
Collingwood doesn't have many players left from their last Grand Final loses, and really, I believe they are a better side then the two Grand Final loses, but let's be honest with the lost finals, they have been building a young side since 2004 and 2005.
Collingwood will always be mocked because of their Grand Final loses, but the sad thing is, they had the teams to make the Grand Finals but seemed to lack the ability to go all the way.
I believe that if this side gets to the Grand Final this season, they are going to put some of those demons behind them and take home that Premiership Cup, most people are not going to like it, but you have to respect the fact that Collingwood after their wooden spoon in 1999 was able to build this list.
They peaked too early the first time around that is why 2003 became the disappointment it was, the Magpies just needed a bit more to capture the 2002 flag, and that would have set them up for 2003, but after that they have managed to recruit some decent players when they had their descent down the ladder.
Derek Hine has to be patted on the back, he has managed to recruit some gems in the draft, Collingwood's fitness team, and coaching panel have to be commended for their work as well.
2010 could very well be the year Magpies fans can celebrate their premiership.
