Shaun Burgoyne out for next three matches

Shaun Burgoyne will miss the next three matches after rough contact with Hawthorn player, Sam Mitchell. Mitchell was left unconscious on the ground during their match at the weekend.
Burgoyne and Port Adelaide argued that contact with Mitchell was accidental not deliberate. Port also argued the contact made by Burgoyne was low contact not high contact.
The AFL Tribunal handed Burgoyne a three match suspension.
Mitchell said the contact between both himself and Burgoyne was “slight.” He said he was unlucky to be knocked out.
Port Adelaide Coach, Mark Williams was dissappointed with three week ban.
"We are very, very disappointed with the result, Shaun Burgoyne and everyone would agree he's one of the most skilful and fair players to have ever played AFL football, certainly up there with Chris Judd in the way he plays, fast, skilful, fair," Williams said.
Burgoyne’s omission from the Port Adelaide side could be a blow for the Power heading into this week’s game against Sydney at the SCG.
