To bump or not to bump that is the question

Some are calling for the end of the bump a lot of players are looking to remove the bump from the game, I say keep the bump it's apart of the game. I see the AFL want to get ride of contact to the head and that's fine but you are never going to remove it fully. You can report until you go blue accidents happen, it's the nature of this game, and AFL you cannot remove the bump, the bump is apart of our game, it's almost like making a rule that if you mark the ball you are going to be penalised!
Yes, remove all those hits that are not going for the ball, those late off the ball ones, but for god sake, leave the others alone. Players are going to suffer injuries regardless of how hard you try and sanitise the game, I am sorry to say AFL you are not going to ever remove this unless you make this a game of Netball.
In Tasmania they had a player from Burnie rupture a spleen after being crunched by his own team mate, assistant coach and former Collingwood draftee Luke Shackleton, at the time of this writing Brodie Johnston 19 is in intensive care. The young Docker managed to play on in the last quarter and once he started to warm down the pain was there for all to see.
Not a bump, no, but that there is proof there is still going to be rough contact whether the AFL likes it or not, whether anyone likes it or not hell even in football of the round ball kind concussions happen when players collide when going for the ball but there has been no removal of the possible cause of that, so why should the AFL look to rid the game of the bump?
Why should we see players being handed out needless suspensions for head contact when there is no intent to injury? Accidents happen see my above with Brodie Johnston and his ruptured spleen, he was injured without having a bump, he was injured in an accidental crunch in a marking contest.
Now since the players are teammates there would be no need for the league, this time Tasmanian State League to investigate the injury because they are team mates, Luke is an assistant coach for the club and this was just a harmless accident and now we have an injury that is serious. It's more proof that this game is a rough and tough game, It will always be a rough tough game regardless of how other people want to make the changes to make it less so.
I have not seen a game of womens football, but there was a big girl from the Scoresby football club that laid a hard hip and shoulder on a player, as shown on Almost Football Legends last season, and I have seen some other vision of some tough women players so they are showing that they can handle the rough tough nature of the game as well...Now if a player is king hit from behind, behind play then the AFL should act, the AFL should remove any reckless hits on a player, but a normal bump should remain.
Players are reportedly looking to not bump because they are confused by the AFL interpretation of their rules, and even some of the umpires are confused and that is not a good sign either. We do not want to lose the bump.
It's apart of our game, and it's going to be a tragedy to this game if we are going to lose a part of it that makes our game great. Heads collide, players can hit their head when they fall from a marking attempt the wrong way, who are they going to report when players clash heads going for the ball?
Are they going to report someone when a player falls from a speccy and slams his head into the ground? It'd be a shame to ban the speccy too.
